Thought for the Week Join in the Fun for Our Dress-Up Days! Corrections and EMPT Attempt #2 We will spend the first day of the week making corrections on the Unit 4 EMPT Check-In.  Through corrections, the goal is to improve our current level of understanding so that we can make sure we are ready for our college-level classes.  On the second day of the week, we will complete our second official EMPT attempt.  Students will get a chance to see their growth and improvement from the start of the year through now.  Students will also have a chance to pin-point areas needed for growth.  Our our final day of classes for the week, students will go through the results of the EMPT.

Thought for the Week Wrapping Up Unit 4:  Solving Systems of Equations and Inequalities This week, we will spend Monday's class reviewing.  Students will complete the BlackBoard portion of our summative during class on Tuesday.  The third class period for the week will be spent completing a more traditional paper-and-pencil summative that will cover topics that we have seen over the course of the semester.  Friday's class will be a catch-up day for students who need additional time to wrap up with their work on unit 4.

Thought for the Week Happy Computer Science Education Week! In celebration of this year's Computer Science Education Week, Waukesha North will host an HOUR OF CODE session during JIT B on December 7th.  JOIN US! Unit 4: Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities This week, we will focus on the linear inequality portion of the unit.  Students will refresh their memories on how to graph a system of inequalities.  We will also spend some time working on linear programming.  This means we will write a system of equations and/or inequalities in order to find maximum or minimum values.  The process of linear programming can be used in order to figure out how to maximize profits for a country or to minimize production costs.
